TPT Mission Update

STACC Mission partner Turning Point Trust:

November 9th, 2021

Prayer points

· The new computer lab is up and running, the kids love it!

· Thankful for a new volunteer helping with discipleship

· Pray for the remedial classes for our transition students that continue to pose a challenge

· Pray for a new set-up for mentoring all of our students

A boost for discipleship

A new volunteer from Nairobi Chapel has come on board to support Pastor David running discipleship classes for the over 170 kids in our preschool and primary school. Please pray for Pastor David as he continues to develop this ministry and for the new volunteer that she would have a great impact on the children.

We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.

In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name.

May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.

Psalm 33:20-22

TPFC Update

The TPFC girls team reached the quarterfinals of the International Day of the Girl Child Kibra League last month. Meanwhile, two members of our boys' team have been selected to join a sports academy, opening doors to more training opportunities and exposure to bigger competitions outside Kibera. Please continue to pray for our star coaches who work tirelessly to grow the teams and find more opportunities for them to excel.

Transition Programme Update

20 children have returned to school this year through our transition programme, some have caught up quickly with what they missed and are doing great. Others need more support. Please pray as we continue to develop remedial classes to help those students to catch up.

Praise Report

Children returned after the school holidays to find the new computer lab set up and ready to go.

Mentorship for the whole school

Group Mentorship sessions are a time to discuss challenges, ask difficult questions and learn more about important topics like drugs or alcohol. We have always run these sessions with our football teams and see the positive impact they have on the children. For that reason, we are expanding the programme to offer it for all the Fountains of Hope students. Please pray for the team of football coaches, social workers and teachers who are rolling out the mentorship programme for the whole school. Please pray God would use the mentorship sessions to bring positive change in each child's life.
